This new set has 26 mylar capital letters that look like monsters - each about 2 1/2" tall.. There are also 26 capital letters that are plain and the same size as the Monster letters as well as 26 capital letters that are smaller than the Monster letters. Each letter fits in the 4x4 hoop (please see the link below for actual sizes).

These can all be used individually or combined for words, monograms or names. We made a pillow for Bridget and a pillow case for Dennis.

If you want to combine letters into names or words, you use a larger hoop and just move over, or use the 4x4 hoop and rehoop for each letter.

In each of our samples, we used the Large Monster letter and the small plain letters. And these are loads of fun with variegated thread - use Marathon Thread for these.

Remember, if you use the mylar we recommend, it is washable and dryable in machines. I even iron on it for quilts or making garments like Bridget's dress!
